Genetics of the Dog. Willis, Malcolm B.   Howell Book House, 1989
Somewhat dated and currently out of print, this book still has considerable valuable information about canine genetics.

The Inheritance of Coat Color in Dogs. Little, Clarence C. ScD.   Howell Book House, 1957
This classic work on canine coat color has, for the most part, stood up to the test of today’s vastly greater genetic technology.
